Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi: Ajman has taken major steps towards comprehensive sustainability

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Chairman of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, stressed that the Emirate of Ajman has taken great steps towards comprehensive sustainability under the directives of H.H. Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, and the follow-up of H.H. Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, and it has succeeded with distinction in building a diversified competitive economy and has made important strides in improving the investment climate, improving the quality of life and providing innovative and integrated services with international standards comparable to developed countries in the world.

He said that Ajman continues its rapid growth and has become a modern city and a strategic hub for business and investment, especially in the real estate field, thanks to the integrated real estate strategy adopted by the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation for a sustainable real estate sector characterized by transparency and innovation based on the visions of customers and strategic partners.

This came during his chairing of a meeting with the buildings classification team, during which he was briefed on the building classification report and the results of field visits carried out by a specialized and qualified team in order to closely monitor the readiness of real estate buildings and facilities, and the extent of their commitment to the standards and regulations of the real estate classification projects.

The Chairman of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation listened to an explanation about the matrix of real estate classification and the mechanisms used to ensure the highest levels of accuracy and transparency, as the criteria varied to include engineering and technical aspects, sustainability, documentation, health and safety, management and finance, and the classification focused on the available facilities, the quality of building maintenance and other factors related to the quality and efficiency of buildings.

Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Humaid Al Nuaimi praised the efforts of the team and stressed that the department seeks to improve the performance of the real estate sector through this huge project, which is implemented according to international levels and standards that ensure the quality of services and make it easier for investors to make their investment decisions and choices related to renting or buying any property in the Emirate of Ajman, which is in line with the vision of the wise leadership aimed at enhancing the quality of life in real estate projects and residential complexes and enhancing Ajman’s position as a modern city that provides all means of luxury. And comfort for the population commensurate with the needs and aspirations of various segments of society.

For his part, H.E. Eng. Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of DLD, explained that DLD has developed an integrated electronic program to classify buildings and display their results directly and transparently, after the completion of the field visits to the concerned real estate projects.

He stressed that the mechanism of classification of buildings is based on innovative modern methods that will enhance the culture of excellence among real estate development companies and building owners and activate their pivotal role in advancing the performance of the real estate sector and contribute to the embodiment of the department’s vision of achieving innovative global real estate leadership.
