Registration By Way Of Exchange

It is the process of exchanging a real estate or real estate units between two owners owners or several owners, provided that registration of each real estate or real estate unit shall be done according to the agreement made between them.

Required Documents

Required Documents for Individuals


  • Tick The original title deed, ownership certificate, or initial registration certificate is required if the documents are not updated with the Emirates ID
  • Tick or a valid passport for non-resident foreigners
  • Tick No objection certificate from the developer.

  • Tick The original title deed, ownership certificate, or initial registration certificate is required if the documents are not updated with the Emirates ID

  • Tick Submitting the application request and required documents through the E-services portal
  • Tick Reviewing and approving the application by Customer Happiness Center
  • Tick Fees Payment
  • Tick download the e-title deed/initial registration certificate/Registration certificate from UAE Pass wallet.

  • Tick - 1% of the lower property valuation amount to be borne by each party for UAE nationals and GCC citizens, plus 2% of the value difference between the two properties (if any), with a minimum of AED 1,250 to be borne by the new owner of the higher-valued property.
  • Tick - 2% of the lower property valuation amount to be borne by each party for non-GCC nationals, plus 3% of the value difference between the two properties (if any), with a minimum of AED 1,500 . Ownership transfer fees will also be collected for any additional area if there is an increase in the exchanged property area.
  • Tick - 1% of the lower property unit valuation amount to be borne by each party, plus 2% of the value difference between the two units, with a minimum of AED 1,250 to be borne by the new owner of the higher-valued property unit.
  • Tick AED 350 as fees for the ownership certificate, or initial registration certificate
