The Department of Lands and Real Estate Regulation in Ajman received the External Quality Assessment Certificate from the Association of Internal Auditors during the activities of the annual international internal audit conference held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Dubai.

On this occasion, His Excellency Eng. Omar bin Omair Al Muhairi, Director General of the Department of Lands and Real Estate Regulation, said that, obtaining this certificate is an affirmation of the department’s excellence and success in applying best practices at all levels, and its keenness to comply with the international professional framework for practicing internal auditing and optimally exploiting available opportunities to improve its management and operations.

Al Muhairi explained that the main scope of the external quality assessment included reviewing and identifying ways to enhance the internal audit methodology, policies and procedures, as the extent of the completion of the internal audit charter, the audit guide, the quality improvement program, and adherence to professional ethics and the standards of the International Institute of Internal Auditors were evaluated.

He added that the Department of Lands and Real Estate Regulation is committed to adopting a comprehensive and integrated audit methodology that contributes to embodying the vision of the Ajman government and its future goals and supports its efforts towards achieving the highest levels of maturity in the field of auditing.
