HH Sheikh Humaid Al-Nuaimi issues a law regulating Landlord affairs in the emirate of Ajman

His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ajman, has issued Law No. 3 of 2020 regarding the regulation of landlord affairs in the Emirate of Ajman, which included 41 articles

This law applies to the main and subsidiary real estate in areas and lands where real estate development is permitted in the emirate, whether they are licensed before it comes into force or that are licensed afterwards, including those located in free zones.

The law aims to regulate the management of common parts and shared facilities in accordance with the best service quality standards, to regulate the affairs of landlord committees in subsidiary real estate, and to enable them to perform their duties, achieve transparency and to not create conflict of interests in contracting with service providers in common parts and shared facilities, and to enable the Department of Lands and Real Estate Regulation to supervise and control the performance landlord committees and management companies to ensure providing the best services to the occupants of real estate units in subsidiary properties.
