“Ajman Lands” holds a workshop on “Weqaya Project” to raise the rate of safety and protect individuals and property
In embodying the vision of the Ajman government aimed at raising the level of security and safety and protecting individuals and property in the emirate, the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, in cooperation with the Security Services Support Authority, held an introductory workshop on the “Weqaya (Prevention) Project” attended by representatives of real estate development companies, real estate offices and a number of officials and employees in the department.
Mr. Ahmed Khalfan Al Shamsi, Acting Director-General of the Department of Land and Real Estate Regulation, said that the department seeks, behind the organization of this workshop, to train the participants and familiarize them with the importance of the “Weqaya Project” and its objectives, which are to protect lives and property from the outbreak of fires and the dangers and losses that ensue as a result, with the fastest possible response from the competent authorities.
Al Shamsi confirmed that the “Weqaya system” connects all fire alarm systems in residential, commercial, industrial buildings and professional facilities, warehouses, hotels, hospitals, schools, universities and markets in Ajman with a smart system that monitors the fire panel around the clock (24/7). The system transmits all events in the control panel through wireless technology to the control center for rapid response in the event of any type of fire.
